Q: How does Efur help Consignor sell pelts?
A: Efur will work as a contractor providing a suite of services to farmers to help them sell pelts directly to China. The logistics of the raw fur, the dressing arrangement of the raw fur, the consignment sales and the financing against the pelts, can be selected separately or in an entire package.
Q: Can Efur cover costs that have happened from Europe/North America to China in advance?
A: Yes, Efur will cover the costs including the pelting, logistics, dressing, etc before the sales, and will recover the cost within 9 months after the first suggested prices are given to the consignor of each shipment.
Q: Can Efur provide the loan to consignor? How the loan interests are charged?
A: Yes, Efur can supply the loan to the consignor for the furs sent. Efur can also provide the grace period concerning the loan borrowed by the sender. The interest will be covered by Efur up to the date the first suggested prices are given to the consignor. The shipper will not have to pay any interest until the furs are available for sale online.
Q: How does Efur sort skins?
A: Efur will sort and class these furs dressed with the help of experts, who are very experienced in both the classification of furs and the Chinese market. The furs shall be classified per the Auction Standards.
Q: How much time will be needed for skins to be available for sale after the sending?
A: If the skins are transported by plane from Europe or North America, the skins will first be processed in Cambodia and sent to China later, the total days will be around 75 days. Please be noted that these 75 days are for hides shipped in winter only. If the pelts were sent in mid-year, the total number of days may vary due to the additional workload waiting in Cambodia. In addition, please note that due to the COVID-19 situation and the highly uncertain transportation, the timing may also vary.
Q: How the skins are sold in China?
A: Efur will hold the online auctions one or two times per month during the skins sales season from time to time in China, usually from April to November. Also, Efur can do private sales as per the consignor's instructions. All the consigned furs will be shown to the potential buyers in the warehouses built in different fur markets in China. The buyers will bid online for each lot, detailed auction reports can be found in each Consignor’s Efur online account.
Q: How the furs are priced? Can the consignor decide how much of his furs will be priced?
A: Efur will give the reference prices for furs to be listed before each online auction. Consignors may decide to accept or update the suggested price as acceptable minimum prices before the auction. Efur will sell the pelts only upon the instructions from the consignors.
